Speed Up Your Browsing Speed in Windows XP

Friend's here is a great tip to get your browsing speed up in windows XP. It will fix a bug in windows xp that installed default in windows XP or 2000, that scan schedule tasks. After apply it doesn't search for scheduled tasks anymore.
Believe me I tried it myself it really improve my browsing speed, sites are opening more quick now. Here is the process, how to do it, try it yourself.

Click on Start and then Run. Type regedit and hit enter or click on OK



In registry edit window, find the entry located at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace

Under this section find the key: {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} and delete it.
This will not require system reboot and you can determine yourself how much your speed improved.

    This tip is only useful if you don't use Firefox or IE7 or Windows XP as it will make no difference and can cause runtime errors.

    Basically, I never touch registry as it's quite unsafe sometimes....

    This looks like it might be a good idea, but I will have to do some research and try to find out more before I implement your advice. As visor says, it can be dangerous to mess with the registry

    Yep this really works, Im running IE and it changed up the speed. Thanks mate!
